Dear Excellency,
According to the present political situation in Bangkok, Thailand, the military used force against the red shirts resulting in 22 dead and 825 injured last Saturday night. This was a great loss to Thailand.
We asked for your cooperation to bring peace, love and harmony to this country by advising the Thai government not to use force against the Thai people again. The military operation was ordered by the Thai Prime minister to take back the streets for traffic in Bangkok and caused further bloodshed in the intersection of Thanon Khokwoa and the democracy monument and caused many deaths and injuries on both the side of the Thai people and government forces.
Even though the Thai government claimed that the red shirts are being supported by "terrorists", that is not true. The fact was the Thai military who do not support the present government helped the red shirts killed some of the government forces.
The red shirts got no weapons at all and the government will try to try disperse the red shirts and it will cause more deaths and injuries.
Please do whatever is necessary to stop the Thai government from using force against its own people.
Buddhist Organizations in Thailand/ Buddhist Peacemaker teams
