Updated: More details from DSI leaks
The Nation provides details on a case of a 14 year-old boy killed by a "high-velocity bullet to his abdomen." The report refers to the case of Kunakorn Srisawan calling it a "little-known death" that is now detailed in the leaked Department of Special Investigation (DSI) report on the army's attacks on red shirts. This death occurred on 15 May.
Kunakorn was likely killed when "soldiers were shooting at a van during a stand-off near the Rajprarob Rail Road's Airport Link area in the early hours of May 15. Kunakorn had apparently run away from the International Muslim Foundation Orphanage." The van was hit with hails of gunfire; one witness said "three soldiers [were] shooting at the vehicle continuously."
Kunakorn was somehow hit and died in hospital.
Meanwhile, red shirt leader Jatuporn Promphan has stated that the leaked DSI documents are indeed genuine, despite continual claims from DSI that they are not (despite having earlier agreed they were…). The Nation seems to think these leaks are real. DSI chief Tharit Pengdit sounds contradictory when he states: "The DSI will also file further charge against Mr Jatuporn for disclosing confidential documents if he claimed the information he obtained was the DSI investigation accounts…".
Update: Horriblethailand has posted copies of the reports on 6 deaths at Wat Pathum Wanaram.
